VAULT FESTIVAL 2016 and the Suffolk Young Producers welcome you to a brand new restaurant, bringing the best of East Anglian food to subterranean London

The food of Suffolk is shaped by the landscape, from the sea to the rivers with their fertile valleys leading to the rich arable soil of the Suffolk uplands. Over the centuries Suffolk has traditionally been a larder for London – here at the Suffolk Punch you have the opportunity to discover the very special foods in that larder and the very special young people who make it. It is a rare county where you can find small family companies of the highest quality, specialising in all areas of food production.

The Suffolk Young Producers have come to the VAULT Festival to introduce you to Suffolk food. Our menu is sourced almost entirely from Suffolk producers, much of it from members of our group. We have created a real country pub in the middle of a cutting edge arts festival. Our food is simple, homely and true to our Suffolk roots. It’s the food we make, the food we eat – and we want to share it with you.

David Wright from the award-winning Cake Shop Bakery in Woodbridge leads our team with support from multi-award winning food heroes, all of whom are Suffolk Young Producers – Alder Carr  (Needham Market), Diaper Poultry (Haughley), Fen Farm Dairy (Bungay), Henrietta Inman Patissiere (Great Glemham), Kenton Hall Estate, Lane Farm (Brundish), Marybelle (Walpole), Newbourne Farm, Pump Street Bakery (Orford)  plus our neighbour from Essex, Marriages the Master Millers (Chelmsford). Additional Suffolk food and drink have has provided by Adnams of Southwold, Aspall Hall, the Artisan Smokehouse (Falkenham), Truly Traceable Venison & Game Pies (Halesworth), Maple Farm  (Kelsale), Hill Farm Oils (Heveningham),  Pinneys of Orford and Stokes Sauces (Rendlesham), plus Fairfields (Wormingford) another neighbour from Essex.. If you have enjoyed our Suffolk specialities, come and see us in Suffolk – the home of good food and drink. You will find us in pubs, restaurants and shops throughout the county – and in abundance at the September Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival.

The Menus

From Sausage Rolls & Brownies to Longhorn Burger’s and Game Pie, the Suffolk Punch team have handcrafted a menu which suits snacking and sit-down-dining in equal measure.

Please note: Sunday is Pizza Day at the Punch – the usual menu is replaced with a Suffolk-hewn, gourmet range of pizzas.

Is the restaurant open to the public or just VAULT audience members?
Everyone!

Is the restaurant family friendly?
Yes – bring the whole gang.

What’s the atmosphere like?
Like a relaxed country pub with a bit of underground party thrown in.

Is there a Kids menu?
Not specifically but we’ll help you find something your family will like.

Are reservations required?
Nope, but we recommend it if you’re coming to see a show.

How far in advance may they be placed?
Up to a week in advance.

Do you take bookings for large parties?
Yes, but please get in touch early so we can accomodate you.

Is there a special menu added to the regular menu each day?
We’ve got special menus for Valentines, Mardi Gras and Mothers Day: and every Sunday is Pizza day, where we serve nothing but the best Suffolk-hewn pizzas.

Do you take specific dietary requests?
Yes, please drop us a line in advance!

Are there vegetarian/vegan options?
Yes – the online menu should give you a good idea.

Where may I find allergen information for menu items?
On the menu itself.

What is the average price of a meal?
A main meal typically costs between £9 and £18.

Appropriate dress for the restaurant?
Anything goes. Within the law / reason.

Do you have a take-away menu?
Sorry, no – but we have bar snack type food you can grab on the go.
