Crocodile is a dark comedy about two new parents, Alan and Jane, and their daughter Sarah, who is a crocodile.

Bringing up a child is always scary, but Alan is determined to be the best father he can be. He just has to make sure that Sarah’s safe, has somewhere to swim, and, of course, that she has enough to eat.

Combining pitch-black humour with an increasingly nightmarish sense of menace, Crocodile is the debut play from writer/performer Joe Eyre. The story of how two new parents are changed by their daughter’s arrival should leave audiences delighted and disturbed.

Joyous Gard is a brand new theatre company with a slate of productions developing for our first year. We’re delighted that our first production will be a part of VAULT 2017.
