Kathryn Bond is an actress, writer and comedian. She studied Acting amongst the likes of ‘The League of Gentlemen’ at Bretton Hall and then continued the bohemian dream and went to Clown school at Phillipe Guallier. She formed critically acclaimed comedy duo ‘That Pair’ with Lorna Shaw. With ‘That Pair’ she enjoyed sell out runs at The Soho Theatre with a hilariously silly hour of sketch, character and musical comedy. After a celebrated debut in 2012, they achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 and 2014. Lorna and Kat’s work continues now as a Two prov’ group that is being coached under FA’S Mike O T. In 2015 Kat performed with Jon Pointing (Bucket) in ‘The Kat and Jon Appeal’ and recently appeared in ‘Bucket’s’ pilot film. She has also worked with Massive Dad and Rob Cawsey on their shorts and is developing her own short film called ‘Goodbye Diaries’ about one woman’s trip to Mars. Acting wise Kat has most recently appeared in ‘Call the Midwife’ and ‘The Agency’ on the BBC along with playing an LA cop in Sky’s new drama series ‘The Greatest of All Time’ about the life of Muhummed Ali. Kat formed part of the small ensemble cast for the pilot of the new BBC Comedy Feeds show ‘Kerry’ fronted by Bafta nominated Kerry Howard as well as appearing in Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Doctor Brown’s Channel 4 Blaps. She also featured on BBC Radio 4’s Sketchorama and was part of the cast for recent Radio 4 sitcom ‘Expenses Only’. Last year she finished a national tour of award winning poet Kate Tempest’s play ‘Glasshouse’ with Cardboard Citizens and she recently performed in a new short play called ‘Aloe Aloe’ at The Arcola theatre and Arts theatre in the West End. Aloe Aloe was published this year my Nick Hern. She is also in a new play ‘On the Crest of a Wave’ by playwright Camilla Valerie Whitehall which will debut at for this years Vault festival. She will be performing ‘Loo Roll’ at many festivals this summer including Mach and Edinburgh festival.
