Hello! My name’s Mat, and I work here.

Specifically, I’m the Communications Director, which means I’m often trying to think of new ways to talk about the what, how and why of what we do.

With that in mind, I’d like to welcome to the first of what we’re hoping will be a continuing season of blogs and updates about the VAULT Festival process. We’ve not done something like this before, but with any luck it’ll provide a bit of insight into what goes into making VAULT Festival (and other things like it) a reality, with some big overview stuff alongside some more detailed day-to-day items. We’ll do our best not to make it incredibly dull, but some of that is going to depend where you sit on the “how the sausage gets made” question. Thankfully for both of us, it’s not going to be just me writing them – you’ll definitely be hearing from fellow Festival Directors Tim & Andy, alongside other voices as the team starts to grow back to full strength towards the end of the year.

In short, we’re going to tell you what we’re up to (as frequently as we remember to), so you know more about what VAULT is, and who we are. Thanks for reading, and let us know what you think!
